Cora’s take

Start with Procore if you want to evaluate a broad construction platform connecting project administration and financial workflows. Start with Fieldwire if your immediate priority is making plans, tasks, and site coordination easier to manage. Both deserve a live test against your actual workflow; neither wins simply by having a longer feature list.

Where the products overlap—and differ

Procore offers project-management workflows and a wider product portfolio, including construction cost management. The modules you buy determine the scope of your implementation. Its pricing page advertises unlimited users and data, with a specific exception for Field Productivity pricing. [1] [2] [4]

Fieldwire starts with plan viewing, task management, specifications, files, photos, and checklists. Its published tiers add capabilities such as reporting, sheet comparison, custom forms, integrations, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and budgets. It should not be dismissed as only a punch-list app. [3]

Compare the full bill

At the review date, Fieldwire’s US page lists annual-billing equivalents of $39/user/month for Pro, $64 for Business, and $89 for Business Plus. A 10-user Business Plus team therefore starts at $10,680 per year before taxes or additional services. Procore requires a tailored quote. Compare equivalent scope, external participant access, implementation, integrations, training, and renewal terms—not a per-seat figure against an enterprise quote. [2] [3]

A practical selection test

Give both vendors the same exercise: issue a drawing revision, assign a field task, submit an RFI, route a submittal, and track a potential change. Ask a superintendent, project manager, and administrator to complete it. Record duplicate entry, permission issues, and the reports you can export.

Cora’s recommendation: choose the system your team can maintain consistently and your project partners can actually use. A smaller team may prefer a focused rollout; a larger team may value broader connected controls. These are workflow judgments, not claims that company size alone determines the right product.
